Cross Country
PROGRAM AND COACH
The Cross Country team has been competing for College Park H.S. since the school’s opening in 2005. Cross Country is a fall sport and the team trains throughout the summer for meets that begin in August. The season typically runs from August through November. The Woodlands College Park Running Lady Cavaliers has both Junior Varsity (distance is typically 2 miles) and Varsity (distance is typically 5k) teams, and has a rich history of qualifying for Regional and State meets.

Coach Uribe is entering his 3rd year at College Park H.S. He is the assistant coach for boys cross country, boys and girls track and field and is excited to start his first year as the head girls cross country coach. Prior to coming to CPHS, Coach Uribe spent two years as the head cross country coach and assistant track and field coach at Knox Junior High. Coach Uribe ran at Texas A&M University as both a cross country and track student-athlete. He is the proud husband to Beatriz and proud father to Juan Daniel.

Coach Gibson is the head boys cross country coach at College Park H.S.. He has been coaching cross country for 30 years and is currently in his 20th year as the head boys coach at CPHS. This is his 3rd year coaching for the girls' team. Coach Gibson is married to Candy Gibson, who is the head coach for girl’s volleyball at College Park. Coach Gibson ran at Baylor University as both a cross country and track student-athlete. He is the proud father of two children, Miles and Camden.

Coach Pope is the assistant to cross country and girls' soccer at College Park H.S.. She has coached cross country and soccer at Caney Creek H.S. for the past 5 years and is looking forward to her first year at CP. She is an alumna to College Park and played collegiate soccer at the University of Mobile in Alabama. She is married, a proud mom to her son, Baker, and is excited to be back where it all began.

Coach Todd is entering his 2nd year at College Park H.S.. He was previously an assistant cross country coach at Eastland H.S. in Illinois. Coach Todd competed in both cross country and track and field at Monmouth College.
